Remington Power Tools is a company that is on the market since 1921 when they produce saws and drills. Since then, they expanded their offer too many different power tools for gardening and landscaping in general so you can be sure that you can find whatever you want in their offer. There is only one criterion – it has to be connected to gardening or landscaping.
Although they have a huge variety of power tools, I want to focus on Remington weed trimmer models at the moment. Most of their trimmers are gas trimmers, but there is one battery powered as well. Since they are more famous for their gas trimmers, they are testing the battery-powered trimmer market to see if there is enough room for them. And judging by the quality of their products, there is.
Remington String Trimmer Models
Remington Gas Trimmer Rustler RM2510 & RM2560
The reason why I have mentioned two models in this title is simple. They are actually trimmers with the same specifications, but one difference. The RM2510 is a trimmer that comes with a curved shaft, while the RM2560 comes with a straight shaft. That means you can choose them by the shaft, but the specifications will remain the same. So, both of them come with 25cc 2-cycle motor and 16“ cutting path so you can be sure that weeds won’t survive. The pull start of the trimmer is very easy and the entire unit (both of them) is well-balanced for easier trimming. You can use this trimmer as the edger too, which is always a great feature in trimmers for your home.
Pros:

It could be more durable.
It produces noise so you have to wear earplugs.
Remington String Trimmer Wrangler RM2520 & RM2570
Just like the model above, this one also comes in two types, the straight shaft (RM2570) and the curved shaft (RM2520) so you can choose the type of shaft by your own preferences. Besides that, the Remington trimmer comes with the 25cc 2-cycle motor, which is similar to the models above. That means you can use it on weeds you can find in your yard and that makes it a great home trimmer. The 17“ cutting line will do the job quickly and all you have to do is hold the trimmer and walk around the yard. You can easily turn this Remington weed trimmer into a blower, cultivator or any other tool because it comes with a detachable head.

Remington 40V String Trimmer RM4000
Like I have already mentioned in the introduction, not every Remington trimmer is a gas trimmer so I am showing you one battery powered trimmer. This trimmer comes with 40V battery, straight shaft and 12“ cutting line which is more than enough for a small to medium yard. The trimmer head on the unit rotates 90° so you can use it as the edger too which is great. But, that is not the only angle this Remington weed trimmer has, it turns every 15°so you can adjust it the way you like it. Like every other battery powered trimmer, this one comes with adjustable speed control so you can slow it down or speed it up, depending on your skills.
Pros:
Doesn’t produce that much sound as the Remington gas trimmer models.
It is light, easy to use and it rotates the trimmer head.
Cons:
It is not as strong as the gas trimmers, but it does the job if you are dealing with basic weed.
Remington Corded Trimmer RM115ST
Another electric Remington string trimmer worth mentioning is this corded unit that uses 5.5 Amp motor and 14“ cutting line. It is a simple tool that you have to plug in the socket to use so I would suggest it for small to medium yards. But, there are few advantages over gas trimmers. It is not loud, it is very simple to start and it is better for the environment. Another perk of this trimmer is the fact that it comes with a telescopic straight shaft so you can adjust the trimmer to your height and you can also use it as the edger. This head doesn’t rotate for 90°, it rotates for impressively 180° which makes it very user-friendly.
Pros:
Simple to use, simple to start, lightweight Remington weed trimmer.
Can be used as an edger too, not just a trimmer.
Cons:
It has a cord so you can’t walk around with it.
Remington Brushcutter RM2700
This Remington brushcutter is one of the few that doesn’t come with both straight and the curved shaft so you can only use it the brushcutter but there is one advantage. You can easily use the base of the tool to attach other Remington heads and use it as the multi-tool unit. Although it is not a trimmer you can still trim bushes and small branches with this unit and that will definitely come handy from time to time. The motor in this brushcutter is 27cc 2-cycle and it uses 18“ cutting line so you can be sure that even the bushes will look nice in your yard. I know that it is not a trimmer but it is still a pretty useful product for most yards.
Pros:
Comes with the 27cc 2-cycle engine that will cut quickly and neatly.
You can use different attachments on it.
Cons:
It is not a trimmer and it is hard to swap the blade.
Remington Trimmer Parts
Remington trimmer parts are available on the market so you can use their trimmer with replacement parts if you want. There aren’t many parts but basic ones like the cutting line or the carburetor you can easily find. If, for some reason, you can’t find any Remington trimmer parts you can always use the universal parts that will fit on the trimmer.
The only thing you have to be aware when you are using universal part is that you have to get the right part for the right trimmer. Due to that, always check if the model of your trimmer is on the list of compatible universal parts because there are many different trimmers on the market and many different universal parts.
